Administrative Procedure No. 401

Background

These procedures define the authority, responsibility, and accountability for the making of decisions in each major area of the school division’s operation. Authority and responsibility to manage the operations of the school divceision is delegated by the Board of Education to the Director of Education. Authority and responsibility is delegated to staff by the Director. All accountability of staff is through the Director.

  1. Central Office

    1. Central Office refers to those decisions made by the Director, Superintendents of Student Services, Secretary Treasurer, and Superintendent of Operations.
    2. These decisions are made in consultation with the Board, school councils, principals, teachers, coordinators, consultants, and service and support staff.

     

  3. School
  4.  

    1. School refers to those decisions made by the principal in consultation with teachers, parents, students, school councils, and service and support staff.
